How to Use Auto-run in Lists

Hello Skyleaders! 

With Auto-run, Skylead can automatically run your enrichment actions for every new record that enters your List. This means less manual work and a smoother enrichment process, especially for Lists that are continuously growing.

In this guide, we'll show you how to enable Auto-run, how it works with your enrichment actions, and what happens when some columns depend on data from others.

What is Auto-run?

When Auto-run is enabled, Skylead automatically runs all existing enrichment actions in the table for every new contact or company added to the List.

For example, if your Contacts table contains actions for finding a business email, enriching company information, and generating a personalized AI message, all of these actions will automatically start when a new contact enters the List.

This is especially useful for Lists that continuously receive new records, as you don't have to manually start the enrichment process each time.

Important: Enabling Auto-run does not run the actions again for records that were already in the table. It applies only to new records added after Auto-run is enabled.

How to enable Auto-run

You can manage Auto-run directly from your List.

1. Open the Lists page and select the List you want to work with.
2. Open the Contacts or Companies tab, depending on which table you want to automate.
3. At the top of the table, click Auto-run.
4. Switch the toggle to Yes.

Once enabled, any new records added to that table will automatically go through the actions you've already configured.

You can return to the same option and turn Auto-run OFF whenever you no longer want new records to be processed automatically.

How Auto-run handles dependent columns

Some enrichment actions depend on information generated by another column.

Auto-run automatically recognizes these dependencies and runs the actions in the correct order.

For example, imagine you have:

• an Enrich Company action that finds company information;
• a Prompt AI action that uses {{EnrichCompany.Name}} in its prompt.

In this case, Prompt AI needs the company name before it can generate its result.

Auto-run will therefore complete the required Enrich Company action first and then continue with Prompt AI.

You don't need to manually arrange or start these actions in a specific order — Skylead handles the dependencies automatically. ⚡

Why some columns may take longer

When several actions start through Auto-run, you may see Processing... displayed in multiple columns at the same time.

However, actions that depend on another column may actually be waiting for the required information before they can continue.

Because of this, dependent columns can sometimes take longer to finish than independent actions. This is expected behavior and helps ensure that every action uses the correct data.

Turning Auto-run off

You can disable Auto-run at any time by opening the Auto-run option above the table and switching the toggle OFF.

After you disable it, newly added records will no longer automatically run through the enrichment actions in that table. Existing results will remain unchanged.

With Auto-run enabled, you can let Skylead automatically process new contacts or companies as they enter your List, without having to manually start your enrichment actions each time.

Skylead will also take care of any dependencies between your columns, making sure each action runs in the correct order and has the data it needs.
