Hey Skyleaders 👋
You can now manage your list columns more easily and keep your data organized exactly the way you need it.
With the Edit Column option, you can update an existing column’s settings, such as its name, description, data type, and color. If the column was created through an action, like AI or enrichment, you can also update the action settings from the same place.
This gives you more flexibility when working with contacts, companies, enriched data, or AI-generated insights. 🚀
Where to Find Column Options
To manage a column, open your list and click on the column header.
A dropdown menu will appear with all available options for that specific column. Any change you make from this menu applies only to the selected column and won’t affect the others.
From the column menu, you can:
-
Edit column
Edit the column’s settings, such as name, description, data type, color, and, when available, action-specific settings. -
Pin or unpin column
Keep important columns visible while scrolling through your list, or unpin them when you no longer need them fixed in place. -
Sort column
Sort the data in ascending or descending order, depending on the current sorting state -
Hide column
Remove the column from your current view without deleting its data. -
Delete column
Remove the column from the list if you no longer need it.
Editing a Column
When you click on the column header and then on Edit column, the Edit Column side drawer will open.
The drawer is pre-filled with the current column setup, so you can quickly review and update the information.
Here, you can edit:
- Column name
- Description
- Color
This is useful when you want to rename a column, add more context, or use colors to visually organize your list.
For example, you can use different colors to separate enriched data, AI-generated insights, campaign-related information, or any custom data you imported.
Editing Columns With Actions
Some columns are connected to actions, such as AI or enrichment.
For example, if you used AI to classify leads or enriched contacts and companies, those results may be stored in a column with an action attached to it.
When you edit this type of column, the drawer will also show action-specific fields. Depending on the action, this can include things like:
- AI prompt
- System prompt
- AI model
These fields are also pre-filled with the setup that was used when the column was created, so you can easily adjust the action without starting from scratch.
Saving Your Changes
For columns without actions, you’ll see one option:
Save
This updates the column settings only. It won’t trigger any additional processing.
For columns with actions, you’ll see two options:
Save and don’t run
This updates the column settings without running the action again. Use this when you only want to change the column setup, name, description, color, or action configuration without changing the existing results.
Save and run
This updates the column settings and immediately runs the action again on applicable rows. Use this when you changed something important, like the AI prompt or model, and want the results to be updated based on the new setup.
Running Column Actions
For columns with actions, you’ll also have additional run options available from the column menu:
-
Run first ten rows
Use this to test the action before applying it to more rows. -
Run all rows that haven’t run or have errors
Use this to complete missing results or retry rows that previously failed.
This is especially helpful when you want to test your AI prompt first or only process rows that still need results.
Good to Know
Editing a column does not automatically update or recalculate the data in that column. If you save the changes without running the action, the column setup will be updated, but the existing results will stay the same.
To update the actual results, choose one of the run options, such as Save and run, Run first ten rows, or Run all rows that haven’t run or have errors.
The Edit Column feature helps you keep your lists cleaner, clearer, and easier to work with. You can rename columns, add descriptions, color-code your data, adjust AI or enrichment settings, and decide exactly when you want column actions to run again.
This way, your list stays organized and ready for enrichment, review, export, or campaign use.
