How to Use the AI List Assistant

Hey there,

We introduced the AI List Assistant, which helps you explore data in a list and proposes enrichment actions when information is missing. You can ask questions about your contacts or companies, then review suggested enrichment actions before adding them to your table. The assistant never creates a column without your approval.

Open the assistant

Open a list and click Actions in the top-right corner. Select Enrich with AI to open the assistant beside your table. To choose an enrichment yourself, select Enrich manually instead.

The assistant works within the tab you’re viewing. Open it from Contacts to ask about contacts, or from Companies to ask about companies. If you switch tabs, a new conversation starts for that table. You can close and reopen the assistant without losing the conversation, but reloading the page starts a new one.

Ask about your list

Choose one of the suggested starter questions or type your own. For example, you can ask:

• “What is the most common occupation in this list?”

• “How many contacts have an email address?”

• “Which companies are in this list?”

The assistant reads your list to answer. If the information it needs isn’t available, it will tell you what’s missing and it will propose the enrichment action.

Add a suggested enrichment

If you ask for information that isn’t in the table, such as work email addresses, the assistant may suggest an enrichment. Its card shows what the enrichment does, its price per row, and two options:

• Save & don’t run: Adds the column without filling it. You can run it later from the table.

• Save & run first 10 rows: Adds the column and runs the enrichment on 10 rows so you can check the results before running it on more rows.

Useful Tips

• The 10-row test uses the rows currently shown in your table, including any filters, search, or sort you’ve applied. Check the price and consider testing a small batch before enriching the full list, as results may vary.

• The assistant maps the enrichment to the input columns it needs. If your request requires several steps, it suggests one enrichment at a time and continues after you choose what to do with the current card.

• You can also click X to dismiss a suggestion. To continue after dismissing it, send the assistant another prompt. While a suggestion is waiting for your decision, the message box is unavailable.

• If Save & run first 10 rows is disabled, hover over it to see why. This can happen when your team has no action credits or an input column hasn’t run yet. You can still save the column without running it.
