Hey Skyleaders,
The Knowledge base gives your AI SDR the information it needs to understand your company, product, or service and provide accurate, consistent replies to your leads. The more useful and up-to-date information you add, the better prepared your AI SDR will be to handle questions, explain your offer, and respond to objections. 🧠
Let’s go through how to create and manage your Knowledge base.
Access the Knowledge Base
From your Skylead dashboard, open the AI SDR tab. Here, you will find three sections:
Knowledge base
Strategies
AI training set
Open the Knowledge base tab to view all the information sources you have already created.
NOTE: On the right side of the page, you can also see the Stats section, which displays:
The amount of credits spent during the last 30 days
The average credits spent per message
To add a new Knowledge base, click the + Create button.
Add New Knowledge
After clicking + Create, the Add new knowledge window will open.
Here, you can provide the information your AI SDR will use when communicating with leads. Let’s take a closer look at each field. 👇
Knowledge Name
Enter a clear name that will help you recognize this Knowledge base later.
The name is mainly used to keep your AI SDR setup organized, especially when you have different products, services, brands, or target audiences.
For example:
Digital Marketing Product Knowledge
Enterprise Plan Knowledge Base
Recruitment Service Information
Agency Outreach Offer
The Knowledge name can contain up to 250 characters.
Using a specific name will make it easier to select the right information when setting up your AI SDR responder for campaigns.
Company Name
Enter the name of the company, brand, or organization represented by the AI SDR.
This helps the AI SDR understand which company it is speaking on behalf of and connect the uploaded information with the correct business.
The Company name can contain up to 250 characters.
Make sure you use the company or brand name exactly as you would like it to be presented to your leads.
Documents
Use the Documents section to upload detailed information about the product or service you are selling.
Click Upload and add documents containing information such as:
What your product or service does
Pricing and available plans
Frequently asked questions
Key features and benefits
Common objections and recommended answers
Product limitations
Use cases
Service details
Company policies
Any other information the AI SDR may need to answer leads correctly
The supported document formats are:
PDF
TXT
Documents are especially useful when you have a larger amount of information that would be difficult to include in the Core offer field. 📄
Before uploading a document, make sure the information is clear, accurate, and up to date. Avoid adding documents with conflicting details, as this could make it harder for the AI SDR to determine which information it should use.
Core Offer
In the Core offer field, describe the product or service you are offering using a few short and meaningful sentences.
This should provide the AI SDR with a quick overview of:
What you offer
Who the offer is intended for
The main problem it solves
The main benefit or result
What makes your offer different
For example:
Digital marketing agency that helps small and medium-sized businesses increase their online visibility and generate more qualified leads. The agency provides social media management, paid advertising, SEO, content creation, and email marketing services.
The Core offer can contain up to 800 characters.
Keep this section focused and easy to understand. Your uploaded documents can provide the additional details, while the Core offer should explain the main value of your product or service at a glance. 🎯
Create the Knowledge Base
Once you have added all the necessary information, review the fields and click Create.
Your new Knowledge base will then appear under the Knowledge base tab and will be available for your AI SDR setup.
If at any point you wish to change what has been made so far, just click on the three dots next to your saved Knowledge base data and chose Edit Knowledge base option.
Knowledge Base Best Practices
To help your AI SDR generate more accurate and useful replies:
Include specific information rather than general descriptions.
Add answers to questions your leads commonly ask.
Include common objections and explain how they should be handled.
Keep pricing, features, and policies up to date.
Use clear and straightforward language.
Avoid adding outdated or contradictory information.
Create separate Knowledge bases when managing significantly different companies, brands, or offers.
A well-prepared Knowledge base gives your AI SDR the context it needs to communicate naturally and confidently. It also reduces the chance of incomplete or inaccurate answers, helping you provide a more consistent experience for every lead. 🤖💬
That’s it! Your Knowledge base is ready to support your AI SDR and help it create informed, relevant replies based on your business and offer.
