Hey there Skyleaders,
In this article you will find all the info you need in order to create a campaign for expanding your network - a simple and engaging way to use this option.
Let's start with the basics.
When you open a campaign builder Invite to Connect will be listed among other actions on the right side of the screen:
This is the action on LinkedIn where you invite leads to join your Network. You can send invitations to your 2nd and 3rd connections. However, we advise sending invites to connect only to your 2nd-degree contacts to keep your account safe.
Invite to Connect limits can be set up on the Global Limits page.
Now, how to create a Connector campaign.
Simple campaign
The easiest way would be creating a flow that has Invite to connect > Message steps in it and it will look like this:
When set up like this Invite to connect > Message, it means that only the leads that accept connection request will proceed to the Message step. This means that if a lead accepts immediately, the day after, in a week, or in a year the connection request you have sent to it, they will proceed further down the sequence.
You can add here as many Message follow-ups as you would like and set up a time delay you think it's best.
Engaging campaign
This type will give you the option to engage with the leads quicker and with more options rather than just a message that can be sent only to the 1st connections. A sequence like the one below would use more LinkedIn options that can lead you to your new potential deal:
In this flow, once you have sent the invite to connect, there is a condition 'If connected' that will check if the leads that received your connection request are now connected with you or not.
If you can see on the image, If connected condition has a time delay of 2 days - this means that you give your leads' time to accept your connection request within 2 days. Those who accept will proceed to the Message step, those who don't accept will proceed to the View step and later through the rest of the flow.
! Please note that if a lead accepts the connection request after 1 day or 2 hours, it will proceed immediately to the Message step and it will not wait for the whole time delay of 2 days to pass in order to go further.
Which option is better? - That will mostly depend on your expectations and goals for the campaign. Both options are good and will bring you leads and you cannot miss anything with either of them.
The only thing you should look after is to set the time delay on If Connected condition for at least 2 days so your leads would have time to review your request and choose to engage with you.
Hope this article was helpful!
