How to Filter Your Smart Inbox


In this article, we’ll be diving deeper into the functionalities of Sklyead’s Smart Inbox and seeing how you can keep track of all of the conversations that you will be having with your leads.

There are 4 ways that you can filter your Smart Inbox to see specific types of messages and, here, we’ll go over all of them as well as a few important notes.

All Channels

This is the default view of the inbox and here you will be able to see messages from all of the campaigns that you’ve run on Skylead. This way, you are also able to see messages that are based in all 3 of the inboxes that the Smart Inbox merges (LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and Email).

All Unread

This is pretty self-explanatory. With this option, you are able to see only unread messages and get to them first without scrolling through the inbox.

All Other

From the moment of connecting your LinkedIn profile to Sklyead, you will be able to see your non-campaign-based messages using this filter. Messages that were sent before connecting your account won’t show up here.

Filter Chats per Campaign

With this, you will be able to see messages that are tied to specific campaigns. This is extremely helpful if you have a large number of campaigns and you want to follow up with specific leads.

Now, here are some things that you should keep in mind when using the Smart Inbox.

  • The Smart Inbox only tracks your conversations and not all messages sent. In this case, we define conversations as an exchange of messages between the two parties involved.
  • To track the messages being sent, you would have to go to the Check Leads page. There you can see all of the leads in each of the campaigns and see if the messages have been sent out to them.
  • Since the Smart Inbox merges all 3 of the inboxes that you will be using (LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and Email) you can see which inbox they belong to by the icons next to the chat itself (see example below)

  • When you’re using the Campaign Filter, and you’ve had conversations with a lead on multiple channels, ie LinkedIn and Sales Navigator, you will be able to switch between the channels in the Inbox.
